Chronic Pain Management Made Simple
Molly is originally from Des Moines, Iowa and has lived around in the surrounding suburbs her entire life. She has been married for 15 years and has an amazing and active 4-year-old daughter. Outside of her work life, she enjoys spending it with her family and friends. Most of her weekends are spent watching her husband coach her daughter’s soccer or basketball games, doing any outdoor activity they can, like camping, gardening, and in the fall cheering on the Iowa State football team.
She graduated from Mercy College of Health Sciences where she obtained her Registered Nurse (RN) degree in 2005. After working as an RN in orthopedics, she obtained her master’s degree in Science and Nursing from Purdue University Global and became Board-Certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner in 2018.
Horton explained, “I was drawn to nursing because I wanted to work in a field that would allow me to converse with all types of people and learn from each of their own life experiences. I was inspired to work in the specialty field of Pain Management after talking with patients and hearing how they feel that there is such a strong stigma in this area of medicine, that they feared discussing their pain with their doctor. I feel it is important to make sure my patients are comfortable being able to communicate all their concerns without feeling any judgment.
